Notes from the Retirement Frontier

Well, it’s been a week since I retired, and so far, things seem to be going well. My wife says I haven’t freaked out. I’m sleeping better and eating better (no more stress eating). I’ve lost a little weight, and my capillary glucose numbers are improving. The only trouble arises from the free-floating anxiety that comes from having Donald Fucking Trump and his Congress of Clownfuckery in the White House with no competent adults in charge. It wouldn’t be so bad, but the policies they seem intent on pursuing are sure to crater the economy. The net effect will be that our retirement savings and millions of other working Americans will be wiped out. And, since their only goal is to loot the Treasury anyways, they don’t give a shit who gets ground under the wheels of their greed. And then, there is the prospect of the GOP chucklefucks in the House and Senate actually managing to kill Social Security & Medicare, thereby forcing us, and millions of other retired Americans, to be pauper...
